Wow. Wow. Wow. Holy amazing wow. I would go into extensive detail as to all the events that have happened to create this Wow I but I don’t have 7 hours in which to elaborate. I will do my best to give you an overview of Wow and hope I am able to accurately convey it.
Then we went to a tattoo parlor and filmed there. In my bra. In front of everyone again I had to sit and sing with a blank expression into the camera while Joel (yes, manager Joel) pretends to tattoo my back. No fear. No fear.
In the nightclub scene we had 20 extras on hand. Fog machines, lazer beams, sticky floors and crazy fast music. Colin had this idea to speed up the music and film it with everyone moving crazily and me singing along to a track 2.5 times the normal speed. Then the music slows down to regular speed and everyone is moving in slow motion and it looks like I’m at normal speed. It gives a feeling of loneliness in a crowd and I have to say it worked amazingly well. I sang through that several times, fast speed and regular speed and a couple of times with me just staring blankly at the camera as the club rocks frenetically around me. We have yet to edit it all to my satisfaction but that’s only a matter of time. The footage is astounding and the challenge will be to narrow down all the wonderful takes to the select few we will use.
OK…fine, one shot of the 1969 Camaro in the alley…but that’s it. The rest you will see soon enough. 🙂
